Habitine privacy policy

Habitine: Habit Tracker, by Truvak. Effective 6 October 2026.

Habitine keeps your habits on your phone. It has no account, no ads and no analytics, and it cannot connect to the internet.

What Habitine stores

The habits you create, their schedules and reminders, your check-ins and notes, the urges, triggers and slips you log for habits you are easing off, the plans you start with any exam date, reason or review you add, and your display settings. All of it is kept in Habitine's private storage on your device, and your insights are worked out there.

Widgets and notifications

Widgets and the quick settings tile show habit names and today's progress on your home screen, where anyone holding your unlocked phone can see them. When app lock is on, widgets and the tile show a locked state instead, and reminders are titled "Habitine" rather than the habit's name. Reminders for a habit you are easing off are always titled "Habitine". Plan titles, reasons and feelings never appear in a widget or a notification.

Export and import

Export writes a copy of your data to a file in the place you choose: JSON to restore later, or CSV to read in a spreadsheet. Habitine does not send it anywhere, but a cloud storage app you pick may upload or sync it. Exported files are not encrypted and app lock does not protect them, so keep them somewhere you trust. Habitine reads a file only when you choose one to import.

What we collect

Nothing. Habitine does not ask for internet access, so it has no way to send your data anywhere. Truvak never sees your habits or anything else you enter.

Backups

If you use your phone's backup to your Google account, Android may include Habitine's data in that backup, as it does for other apps, and restore or transfer it when you set up a new phone. Device-only settings, such as app lock, running timers and widget placement, are left out and set up again on the new phone. Google stores that backup under its own privacy policy, and Truvak cannot access it. You can turn backup off in your phone's settings.

Permissions

Deleting your data

Deleting a habit removes it and its history. Plans you finish or leave keep their history in Habitine until you clear its storage. Uninstalling Habitine, or clearing its storage in your phone's settings, removes everything it stored on the phone. Files you exported and backups in your Google account are separate copies: delete them where they are kept.

Children

Habitine is a general-audience app and is not designed for children. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
